Groovy Price Controls?
Our friends at the Reason Foundation commented today on the current gas price caps in Hawaii on the blog Out of Control. Matt Welch makes the point that when private enterprise causes sudden price spikes then that is “gouging” but for some strange reason that isn’t the case when politicians do the same.
