Sept Letters to Advertiser and Star Bulletin supporting Superferry
For the month of September 2007, Letters to the Editor for the Honolulu Advertiser are running 20 - 10 and the Honolulu Star Bulletin are running 18 - 13 in favor of the Superferry or against the protestors. I am not counting letters which appeared to be against the government or were unclear. I will update this post periodically.

This is not very scientific. Do you think they just publish everything that comes in? All it shows is the editorial bias of those who choose the letters.

You are right Eli. We are not sure what the numbers show. We just don’t have anything else to measure. Would a poll be better or just measure people interested in calling in or reflect the bias of the question writer? Do the newspapers have a responsibility to let us know how the letters are running? How do they pick the letters that are printed anyway?
